Dr. Cakmes has a general practice specializing in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Cakmes has successfully improved all kinds of smiles, from those needing general maintenance to those needing total aesthetic reconstruction. But one comment is consistent among all his patients. They believe "Dr. Cakmes is the gentlest dentist they have ever known." His careful approach minimizes patient discomfort and makes every patient feel cared for and important. Because he believes in the value of a team atmosphere, Dr. Cakmes has cultivated a staff environment that is highly supportive and loyal. Dr. Cakmes earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN with a Bachelor of Arts degree in microbiology in 1981. He went on to graduate from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, Memphis, TN with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1985.
His professional memberships include: The American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The Academy of Dental Health Practice Administrators, and The Second District Dental Society. Dr. Cakmes continues to build his knowledge through yearly continuing education courses and hands-on seminars.
Dr. Cakmes is married with two sons. He enjoys golfing, boating, camping and U.T. Football.

Becky has been the office manager at Dr. Cakmes’ office for 14 years. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Nutrition and worked as a Dietitian in both clinical and administrative dietetics for 5 years before moving into dentistry. Becky and her husband John have a son and a daughter and an English Setter named Jake. She enjoys music, traveling, reading a good book and Zumba Fitness.

Carol has been working in the dental field since age 19 and has over 40 years of experience including periodontics, x-ray certification, endodontics, treatment counseling and office management. She currently serves as the Patient Coordinator for Dr. Nicholas Cakmes. Carol has 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. She enjoys cooking, reading a good book, bike riding, dancing and attending church.

Irma earned her Associate Degree of Applied Science in Biology from Shepherd University and an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Roane State Community College. Irma has been a dental hygienist for 20 years and has been a part time clinical instructor at RSCC in the dental hygiene program since 1993. She also teaches clincial portion of Radiology and Local Anesthesia courses. Her hobbies include photography, reading, and caring for her registered Tennessee Walking Horse named “Pushing Dreams". On most weekends you can find Irma at the barn riding her horse.

Kelly graduated from Roane State Community College in 2007 with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Prior to college, she worked in the aviation industry for 4 years and as an Administrative Assistant for 9 years at a stock brokerage firm. Kelly’s hobbies include swing dancing, singing, exercising, anything related to Elvis Presley and spoiling her niece Elise.

Rachel graduated from dental assisting school in 1994 where she received her training from the U.S. Air Force in Wichita, Kansas. She has lived in the Knoxville area for 6 years. She brings her 17 years of clinical experience to Dr. Cakmes’ office where she works alongside him as a chairside dental assistant. She has a daughter Morgan and enjoys scrapbooking, cooking and the outdoors.

Kim began her career as a Dental Assistant after graduating from Tennessee Technology Center in 2007 with an Associate Degree. She worked for Kroger for 15 years in the customer service department before beginning her new career in dentistry. She was born and raised in Knoxville and has 2 beautiful children and a wonderful husband. They enjoy their weekends together as a busy family on the go. |
